Categories to be flown will be Primary through Unlimited Power.
Contest setup will occur on Thursday, September 4th. Practice slots may be available that afternoon. Contact Jim Klick if you plan on an early arrival.
The Illinois State Open is hosted by IAC Chapter 1.
Registration
Registration will be available on-site Friday, September 5th.

Hangar space will be available for $15 per night.

Banquet and Food
Friday night will feature pizza. Saturday and Sunday lunch will be available for purchase on or near contest site. Saturday night banquet arrangements are to be determined.
Awards
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in all categories as well as the Grass Roots, and First Time Sportsman awards.
Fees
Registration fees will be $110 for Primary, $130 for Sportsman through Unlimited.
What to Bring
Copies of recent pages from your Airframe and Engine logs, airworthiness certificate, registration certificate, operating limitations, current weight and balance data calculated for contest flight, current packed chute with pack card (<120 days), proof of insurance ($1 million liability minimum)
Pilot and Medical certificates, IAC membership card, 8 copies of free style form A, 15 copies each of forms B and C, signed and dated by a current IAC judge (it is your responsibility to ensure your Free is legal for 2008), cash.
Photocopies of documents are permissible for IAC contest registration but may not meet all FAA requirements.
How to Get There
Flying: Greater Kankakee Municipal Airport (IKK), Chicago Sectional, IKK Vortac 111.6 on field, N41-04.28 W087-50.78
Driving: take Interstate 57 to exit 308 and then turn south on Route 45/52 for 1/2 mile. Then turn left on Airport Road (4000 S. Rd.). Continue 1/4 mile and turn left on the airport access road.
